Your customer's wallet, then a Cashu mint (currently mint.minibits.cash)
for seconds to minutes, then your Lightning wallet.
How it works walks through it with a diagram.
No: there is never a balance with us. Money moves from your customer to a Cashu mint to your Lightning wallet. Lightning payments settle entirely in your customer's browser; ecash payments are redeemed at the mint for immediate payout to your address. Our fee arrives as ecash locked to a key that only exists offline.
Any Lightning wallet, including custodial ones, and any Cashu wallet that speaks payment requests (cashu.me, Minibits). Payers need no account and no app of ours.
Your customer pays the sticker price. You absorb 1% per payment, capped at around $25 a month; above roughly $2,500 of monthly sales the marginal fee is zero. No signup, monthly or hidden fees.
Payment records and a payout Lightning address. No name, email or password: the twelve words never leave your browser. Details on the privacy page.
They are the only credential; there is no reset and no recovery. Write them down when they are shown.
Funds flow to your Lightning address at settlement; nothing is parked with us, and a payment link has no lock-in.
Non-custodial means no clawback: a refund is you paying your customer, for example to their Lightning address, like any other payment.
Paid in Sats is a technical software service and is non-custodial; your business's own obligations remain yours.
In-flight payments are retried automatically until they complete. If a payment page still looks wrong after a few minutes, email support@paidinsats.com with the payment id from the page URL.
